Our Self Guided Tour offers a safe and unforgettable adventure that you just can’t experience any other way. Pismo Beach has been blessed with an abundance of wildlife. Almost everyone knows about the famous Pismo Clams and although they have pretty much disappeared, clamming is still quite popular. One of the most spectacular Monarch Butterfly Groves in the country is on our southern boundary. And you’ll spot whales (in season), otters, elephant seals, and more just offshore.

Or the name Pismo Beach is 10,000 years old, originally coming from the Indian name for tar which occasionally seeps onto the beach.
